Aspen Bay Candles was founded as Candles by Bert in North Carolina by Roberta Man in 1978. After years of experimentation, Roberta had developed a votive wax formulation that provided truly superior performance. In subsequent years, additional products fueled strong growth in the line, and in 2001, Tom Reed purchased Aspen Bay, and have continued the tradition of as a provider of high quality candles.

In the past several years, Aspen Bay has continued to apply its mastery of the candle maker’s art to an ever broadening collection of highly targeted product lines. We have product lines suitable for any upscale selling environment, with performance to match -- lines that are recognized as being among the best in the industry, with chic designs and high fragranced candles. By paying attention to the detail and the process, Aspen Bay has chosen quality that is reflected in each piece.

Along with producing upscale, quality products, Aspen Bay has made the decision to be as environmentally conscious as possible. This commitment is seen most notably in our recycled glass jars and recycled steel lids. We also try and buy locally whenever possible. And because it matters, we hand-pour all of our products here in the USA in our factory in Mississippi, producing a line of premium candles with quality you can see and, more importantly, smell.
